Beautiful Refinished Hardwood Floors

All things in life will eventually degenerate if not properly cared for and this is true as well for hardwood floors. Examine the whole flooring first. But remember that in every house work you do, you always need to prepare your room. Sweep the floor and remove all furniture. When you cleared the room, put an abrasive pad on the rubberized wheel of the polisher you will be using. Install an abrasive screen of 100-grit then start sanding the floor. Make sure the entire floor is sanded. But in-between sanding, take time to sweep or vacuum the floor. For those areas that the polisher cannot reach make use of a random-orbit electric sander.

Next step is to apply finishing on the hardwood floor. Remove all debris and dust brought about by the sanding process. Vacuuming the floor is also a great idea. This is what you should do for the finish: cut 3 inches wide of finish along the baseboard and more or less 2 feet down the sides. It is better that you buy quality angled sash and varnish brush for the varnish application. Brush one strip at a time until you finish the whole floor.
