Sacramento Real Estate For Sale

Sacramento is situated where the Sacramento River and the American River merge. There is a deep water port connected to the San Francisco Bay by a channel through the Sacramento River Delta. Sacramento has extensive waterways, making it the shipping and rail center for the Sacramento Valley. The city’s current estimated population is 454,500 residents.A vast majority of people think of Sacramento as in Northern California, in reality it is in the very center of the State.

Much of the real property to the west of the city of Sacramento is in a flood control basin. As a result, the greater metropolitan area covers only four miles west of downtown but 30 miles northeast and east, into the Sierra Nevada foothills, and 10 miles to the south into valley farmland.
