Allow me to qualify this all, West Donegal has a landscape that’s unique in Ireland; granite rock , heather and sea. Nowhere else in Ireland looks like it! It’s a geologigal landscape that Ireland only has in Donegal! It looks exactly like the Western Highlands of Scotland, to which it is related! The Scots have literally **** loads of that landscape, 1000′s of square miles of it, but you can’t build on it, because it’s protected in Scotland! Why don’t we care in Ireland?
Lovely pictures and song, just wished they hadn’t allowed so much bloody vandal house building in the County. I barely recognised places last summer when I went back. How many holiday homes can the county support?
I know I criticise the Scots, but there’s no way Scots would allow the amount of development in Skye or some such beautiful place that Donegal has had!
Tragedy I think!
